The Cloquet Public Library announces three winners in its “Miracle of Water” photography contest. Judges included members of the Cloquet Public Library Board of Directors and library staff. Entries were judged specifically on relevance to the contest’s theme, as well as composition and originality.“Lake Superior” by Heather Franzen won First Place honors. Second Place went to “Water Droplets” by Josephine Umpierre, and Third Place went to Emelia Anderson for “Deep Blue Sea.” Each winner received a Triple Ribbon Rosette and Certificate of Recognition.
Winning submissions now move on to the Arrowhead Library System’s regional competition which will be judged by photographer Craig Blacklock. Eventually all three winners will be displayed at the library. For additional information, call 879-1531
