Sustainable Landscaping, Shoreland Buffers, and Rain Gardens Program

This is a two part program. Part 1 is entitled “Top 10 Tips for Sustainable Landscaping.” Do you have a landscaping project in mind? Get started by learning 10 tips for designing and installing a sustainable landscape for your home focused on plant health and longevity. Part 1 lasts one hour, and is taught by Julie Weisenhorn, who is an Assistant Extension Professor and the Director of the University of Minnesota Extension Master Gardener Program.

Part 2 is entitled “Residential Shoreland Buffers and Rain Gardens”.
Learn how you can conserve and used rain water in your landscape with shoreland buffers and rain gardens that capture this important resource and prevent runoff into our lakes and rivers. Part 2 lasts one hour, and is taught by Eleanor Burkett who is an Associate Extension Professor and works with the University of Minnesota Extension Shoreland Team. This is a great program you will not want to miss.

Sustainable Landscaping, Shoreland Buffers, and Rain Gardens will be at Cloquet Public Library on Tuesday, July 20th at 10:00 a.m.
