The eye of the beholder

Danielle Melin of Cloquet, a student at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, spent an afternoon at the Cloquet Public Library photographing a permanent exhibit, the library’s dollhouse. The elaborate dollhouse, constructed and donated by Helen Strom of Cloquet, fascinates Melin, who has a dollhouse of her own. Danielle describes herself as a traditional illustrator (many are digital nowadays). Does that mean she’d like to illustrate children’s books? “Possibly,” she smiles.
